Rodents are not an uncommon occurrence in Parkland. Rats and Mice are adept at entering homes through even the smallest exterior holes. Some Rats such as the Norway Rat have even been known to enter properties through sewer lines and toilets. These small pests will scavenge your home and can quickly contaminate food supplies, surfaces, and vents.
Cockroaches are also a common concern in Parkland. Mostly found in kitchens, bathrooms, and basements, these pests are drawn to dark warm moist environments. Cockroaches are typically nocturnal, coming out at night to search for food. While not aggressive, Cockroaches carry bacteria known to cause disease and allergic reactions.
Despite its lack of natural greenbelt areas, Ants are still a regular problem for many in Parkland. While Odorous House Ants and Carpenter Ants are the common species we see, Pavement Ants and Moisture Ants can also be found in areas similar to Parkland. Though typically a nuisance, Ant infestations can be difficult to control if not addressed quickly.
